Rather than treating values education as a discreet subject, integrating it into existing curriculum topics means schools do not have to abdicate their responsibility to teach academic skills but will allow teachers to rethink the ways in which they do this. Teachers often mention they find it relatively easy to draw out values in humanities subjects but that they find it difficult to do so in mathematics.  The purpose of this publication, therefore, is to suggest some ways in which values can be drawn out of existing mathematics topics and teaching approaches.

It looks at various topics in the mathematics curriculum and suggests values and "values talk" related to it for quick, easy classroom use.
